Since i made my last post. Life has been “busy 2.0″. Spending whole time near the pc. But keeps me wondering why i havent wrote about all the great things which inspires me. Daimmn. I want to make this a new start. Hopefully this will keep me going.

Its a good day to start with. The first day of 2009. When going back to “Today in history“..nothing much happened except the whole world including me, celebrated the first day of a new year.

Traditionally, feyli has been a part of Maldivian dress and has been a part of the Maldivian culture for a long time with records even as far as 1340s.

Feyli was worn both by men and women in Maldives during the monarchy. Men wore the materials on formal occasions while women wore it both formally and informally.

Got this on our way to couple of fishing spots.. I know i have a lot to make this better. if i had time.. i could try.. taking the photo from a bit low angle.. but the boats move fast.. i was on one too. And i never saw this coming.

Let me know what do you think about this. Lets hope for a next time. and what do we need to fix??

The National Tree of the Republic of Maldives is the “Dhivehi Ruh” (Coconut Palm). All the islands throughout the Republic support a dense growth of the palm.

Dhivehi Ruh, botanically known as Cocos nucifera and belonging to the family Palmae (Arecaceae) has been widely known here for its economic importance, throughout history.

Dhivehi Ruh, which is also incorporated in the National Emblem of the Republic of Maldives was declared as the National Tree on 25th July 1985 (07th Dh’ul Q’aidhaa 1405 AH).
